pours opaque black in color, thick cream colored head. good head retention. aroma of roasty dark chocolate and crisp spicy peppermint. similar flavor, reminiscent of a York peppermint patty without a lot of the sweetness. medium to full bodied.

It would be very easy to add too much peppermint to a beer, but Frothy Beard has hit the nail on the head here. This porter has a clear peppermint note in the aroma and flavor but dark roasted grains are about as obvious even in the aftertaste. There's quite a bit of dark chocolate here as well.
Medium-full body with lively, medium carbonation.

I want to drive back to Charleston again just so I don't miss this amazingness. It's the perfect amount of peppermint with a perfect finish.
