This beer was made originally to pay tribute to a Charleston legend, professional wrestler B. Furious who is also a beer connoisseur. His promotion, XPW (Xtreme Professional Wrestling) held an event at Frothy Beard Brewing on 3/21 and for the event, B. Furious and Joey from Frothy Beard brewed this Triple IPA. You will get the presence of a lot of Summit Hops and Falconer's Flight hops as well as some honey (added to help the fermentation process). This beer arrived in the mid 120s as far as IBU level is concerned. 9.5% ABV is the modest theoretical value, but I would be inclined to say it is more like 10%.

The color came out nicely. Some pours had a little bit of yeast action, but mostly very nice clarity and color. The smell was citrusy/piny and you got a faint hint of the honey sweetness in the smell. The taste was piny and some bitterness along with tail end of honey.

When I brewed this with Frothy, my own personal hope was that it would be better than homebrew. This turned out really well and beyond the unmatchable and unforgettable experience of brewing this beer at a brewery, the beer turned out to be quite enjoyable. It started off with an idea and theory combined with Joey's experience and knowledge to produce this very solid product. I avoided putting self-promoting 5s across the board, because I already have heard great constructive feedback regarding some opportunities for improvement without having to radically change anything with regards to the ingredients. The beer on its own is enjoyable, but definitely would like to make it as legendary as B. Furious :)
