Poured from the tap into a snifter at the Frothy Beard brewery. The color is pitch black with a small tan head. The aroma is spicy coffee. Excellent spicy flavor.

Normally I won't review on a flight but.....
Very dark brown, the color of molasses. Good tan head but no lace left behind. That's the worst thing about it.
Smell appears to be coffee at first but is really roasted peppers (habanero & chiles) with toasted malts & molasses notes blended together. Fabulous balance.
Taste is roasted malt, faint coffee/toast blend, then the peppers hit. Not for the light weights. I love spicy and the pepper beers usually false short. Not this one.
Body could be fuller, it's just over medium. Effervescence is light. Smooth with a long-lingering pepper burn (lips and tongue). If you can handle the heat, you owe it to yourself to drink this.
