What I had: Muskoka Harvest Ale, St. Ambroise Oatmeal Stout, and Rogue Brutal IPA on tap, samples of Black Swan Porter and Wellington Carved Out Pumpkin, Vegetable Curry over Rice for me, Southwest Chicken Wrap with Mixed Green Salad and a few glasses of white wine for my better half.
What I liked: Comfy pub ambience, no trouble finding a table, large draft list with good style variation, tasty and affordable food, our server was a lot of fun, I won a Hacker Pschorr mug as part of an Oktoberfest quiz that the bar was doing.
What I disliked: Not as many rarities as I anticipated (whether on tap or in bottle), both the Black Swan and Wellington beers failed to impress.
Would I go back? Yes. While my samples fell flat, the pints and food were stellar, and overall The Elbow is a great beer bar that I would happily frequent again.

Finally visited the Bent Elbow and wasn't disappointed. A nice selection of taps that features heavily on local breweries while also representing the rest of Ontario well. The true charm of this place is its atmosphere. It has that local watering hole feel (in a good way) and is definitely a spot I would frequent if I lived nearby. The service was friendly and lunch was tasty.

Went for my first time in about a month ago with a fellow beer lover (we will be returning again in a few days). Walking in it looks like a hole in the wall. the menu isn't perfect but hey, its huge. Service was very quick and friendly also very helpful.

Cool thing: they have rotating taps. You kill a keg and you pick the next off the wall and get a free 5 oz sample. I killed Great Lakes Brewery Apocalypse later Black IPA and was craving more. I then picked Nicklebrook Malevolent Black IPA.

23 local craft and import tap handles and the only cask engine in the tri-cities. Excellent selection of draft craft beer and a good/fair bottle selection. They get hard to find one-offs and seasonals routinely. Knowledgable staff, decent food from pub grub to eclectic and family meals. Large bar and table seating and a patio. The ONLY place for craft beer lovers in the tri-city area.
