solid for an airport beer, i dont know much about this place but they make the beers for the berghoff cafe, which also exists at the chicago airport, and you can do a lot worse than this kolsch while flying. its not all the way clear, but the rest of it is right, pale yellow with a nice head from the faucet, lots of bubbles, and a mildly european nose, crackery malt, german yeast, its mellow and simple but it certainly presents itself as a kolsch. the flavor is true too, a little pils vibe to the malt, some minerals in the water that crisp it up, and a little mid palate sweetness thats not out of place. this is less hoppy and clean than the best of them, but its pretty close and it quenches me nicely after a long flight and before another one. its palate cleansing too with heartier foods, refreshing without being bland, and overall is a pretty well made beer, even if it leans on the safer end of the spectrum. i will be keen to try some other flavors from these guys when i cruise through there next, this is rather good.
