Served in a red Solo cup (sue me, we were tailgating prior to the Sox game) from a crowler filled at the Adams Street brewpub.
Pours a mostly clear sunset auburn-amber topped by a finger of light cream foam. The nose comprises wheat bread, light cranberry, brown sugar, light candied orange peel, and a touch of sweetgrass. The taste brings in more of the same, the brown sugar taking a slightly more powerful position, but the fruits and bread are still the primary stars. The body is a lithe medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a generally fluid feel. An interesting, if a touch dull, take on the Kentucky Common style (I categorized it here as a wild 'cause I didn't know how else to go about it, feel free to shift it as needed, kids), certainly drinkable enough for the preamble to a game the Sox never seemed all that into winning in the first place. The shame.
