American Bourbon variant purchased at the brewery. Pours a very dark but not totally opaque brown-black with a thin tan head. Initial impression is coffee, dark chocolate, and bourbon. Slightly bitter; alcohol is pretty well hidden for 10.5%. Finish is smooth and chocolate-y. Not bad, but certainly not the best BBA Imperial Stout out there.

Bottle: Poured a black color stout with a nice light dark beige head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of chocolate notes with some light roasted malt and oak notes. Taste is a nice mix of chocolate notes with light residual sugar notes and light oak notes that rounds off any rough edges. Body is light for style with good carbonation and no real apparent alcohol notes. Not the most complex stout but still very enjoyable and drinkable.
