Look: Jet black with a nice, big tan head that pillows up and already leaving great lacing as it recedes
Aroma: Citrus hops, some roast, chocolate, pine sap, coffee, and dark malt notes throughout
Taste: Coffee, roast, chocolate, and citrus and pine hops all mesh together and hold ground initially before more layers of chocolate and roast move things towards the finish. A good hop bite and more roast on the end
Mouthfeel: Smooth and silky but with a little sharpness from the hops and roasted barley. Medium-high carbonation and a dry finish
Overall: This is awesome stuff. A well-crafted CDA/Black IPA with everything I look for and like in the style – good chocolate/coffee/roast aroma and flavor paired well with citrusy and pine hop flavors/aromas and excellently balanced. One of my favorite obscure styles and when well-made, like this one is, delicious as well. A great beer and these folks will be missed having recently closed their doors

Growler from the tap house $12 Pours inky black with a large dark tan head..looks are cool. Aroma very burnt oat/toasty,nutty roasted aromas nice. Taste same as the aroma but a mite more creamy/milky and the hops finish resin Good smooth above average palate for style. Excellent CDA and with a lowish alc % for drinking in quantity!
