Blood oranges have a unique flavor compared to other oranges, being slightly raspberry like in addition to the usual citrus notes. We've infused our light lager with pureed blood oranges for an exceptionally delicious and refreshing beer with a subtle orange aroma, crisp citrus finish, and a beautiful red hue.

Notes via stream of consciousness: I'm pleased to read on the label that this is made with real blood orange puree. It also lists it as being 4.5% ABV. The body is slightly hazy with a golden-orange or deep peach color. The head is a half inch or so of dense white foam. In the nose the only thing I'm finding is Blood Orange! I'm sure I'm smelling malt as well but it's really loaded with orange. On to the taste... not surprisingly it's loaded with Blood Orange! I'm not kidding. There is a clear malt component as well, which is great because otherwise it wouldn't taste like a beer but rather an alcoholic orange juice. It's still a little bit of a one-trick pony but the malt at least gives it something. It's sweetish but also somewhat acidic, and although there's not a lot of bitterness to it at all it finishes crisp and dry. In the mouth it's medium bodied on the lower end and crisp with a fine-bubbled, standard to slightly elevated carbonation. It's fruity, acidic, refreshing, lively, and interesting. I don't know if this is a seasonal beer, and if it is it probably shouldn't be. It's a fantastic beer for summer but I'd also drink this in the dead of winter. Fantastic!
