Color is hazy gold and head is white. Nice finger high pile of foam which fades in reasonable time to a patchy layer and a ring. Sheets of lace on the glass are comprised of tightly wound strings. Aroma is moderately clean with bright fruits and citrus. Could be considered white wine like but that's not a dominating aroma. Light crisp candy-like sweetness, dank juicy tropical pineapple and passionfruit, and some sweet darker berry element. Flavor has less bright fruit and more earthy pine, light herb, and a darker dirtier, fleshy kind of fruitiness. The bitterness is steadily even throughout. Grape skin infused dryness and slightly chalky kind of texture mingled with the smoothness. Overall a good solid beer. I like single hops beers for hop study purposes and this one holds its own well. Could turn into something big if other varities came into play...

Hazy yellow color crowned with a slim, milky looking head. Interesting sticky, fruity hop aromas...sort of oily, resinous berries, kiwi, mild butterscotch, and subtle white wine notes. Flavor is noticeably more spicy upfront but with the continued deep oiliness and some added citrus juice. Very unique overall, which is to be expected from Nelson hops. Some definite herbal dankness, citrus pulp, and an almost garlic-like taste rounds things out. Medium body, medium bitterness, drying out in the finish. Interesting and good.
