Poured on-tap at the brewery, the beer is a dark, ruby-brownish coloring coloring with a creamy, light, clingy head. Nose of subtle, rich, caramel and toffee, with hints of smoke, chocolate, and coffee. Flavors are super-rich and smooth, with a chocolate and caramel blend balancing with a subtle fruit and floral highlight. Very smooth and balanced. The body is big and velvety smooth. The aftertaste is richly sweet caramel, with floral highlights. Smooth, rich, and easy finish. Great beer. I pulled a growler of this one home with me.
