This large imperial stout has Madagascar vanilla beans, lactose and a whole lotta of Videri Chocolate Factory cocoa nibs. An Imperial fudge stout if you will. Are you ready for this chocolate behemoth? Alright! Ready, set, attack!

16oz can. Bottom stamp is '11/7/24 #BLACK #GOLD'.
Black colored body. Brief lasting tan colored head, which leads to a minor surface storm and thin ring. No lacing.
Aroma is fudge sweet - milk chocolate and vanilla.
Taste is sweet but ends with a buzz. Flavors of dark chocolate, fudge, vanilla, and espresso. Aftertaste is long winded and ends with cacao. Higher ABV% expresses as vapors and a subtle burn after each sip.
More than medium mouthfeel. Smooth and silky. No bitterness. Supportive carbonation.
The vanilla and lactose barely hold back the buzz burn of the 11%ABV.

Leading an all-out assault on the tastebus, Crank Arm Brewing unleashes their imperial milk stout, laced with chocolate and vanilla upon all the senses.

Generously black and silky smooth with its pour, Attack Position leads with a soothing lure of chocolate, sweet cream vanilla spice, coffee, caramel and toasted brownie before pouncing on the tastebuds with chocolate fudge, cake batter and brownie influence.

As the sweetness continues to wrap around the tongue, the middle palate shows a more robust taste of coffee, campfire and a slightly earthy bitterness for balance. Decidedly sweet, smooth and plush, the taste trends bittersweet with those fudgy, cake batter and brownie flavors taking on a java character late in taste.

Full bodied, rounded and plush on the palate, the stout finishes dessert-like but not quite cloying or difficult to drink. Its long and decadent finish leads to an after palate made of the stuff of chocolate dessert paired with kahlua spice.

My preference is the barrel aged version of this, as it seems more smooth on the palate, however this is a very good stout. ABV is a bit more evident in this.

Look: It pours black with a dark brown head. Head retention is very good.

Smell: There are aromas or roast with some coffee. The nose has a bit of sweetness in it with chocolate and a back ground note like fudge.

Taste: It has flavors of roast with a bit of sweetness. There are some vanilla elements with dark chocolate. There is a bit of fudge as well.

Feel: It has a full body with some bitterness with light sweetness in the finish.

Overall, there is a good combination of flavors from malts and other additions.
