Had this as part of a flight at Crank Arm Brewing's taproom.

L: light amber, thin white head
S: rye & hops, faint malt
T: nice bitter hops, the rye really comes through, faint hint of malt
F: medium body & carbonation

Overall, this is a good rye IPA. Big fan of this style of beer.

Pours a clear amber, little to no head. Aroma is of sweet malt with a bit of subtle hop character and more sweet from rye coming through.

Flavor is on the more tame or mild side of red rye IPAs I've had. Pretty refreshing, nice but nothing overly exciting.

Poured on-tap at the brewery, the beer is a slightly hazy, muddled, orange-brown coloring, with a foamy, clingy, white head. Nose of subtle tropical fruit, spicy grains, and subtle moss and grass. Flavors are tropical fruit sweet and tart forward, with a solid dose of caramel sweetness, with a spiced grain backbone. Smooth and light bodied, with a more citrus and melon aftertaste. Smooth, light finish, with little linger.

Very nice looking oily bubbly (but small) head over muddy olive-yellow beer. Looks like mud but with a fine hoppy beer kind of head. Aroma is fresh and grainy with juicy orange citrus and floral scents. Some solid creamy malty butteriness to it... Taste is a smooth combination of doughy malt, butterscotch, caramel, more steady citrus juiciness, some spicy hop, a little coniferous, and a little of that familiar rye bitter-sour flavor. The mouthfeel is generally smooth with a fullish feeling medium body. Not bad.

A: cloudy amber with decent head and good lacing
S: couldn't get much of anything, likely because of the atmosphere at the brewery
T/M: well balanced, not to malty or bitter. Little bready up front with the rye, slightest hints of brown sugar and peach in there, when I searched for it. Earthy bitterness with just enough tug on the tongue to let you know this is an IPA.
O: I liked this more as I drank it. There's nothing overwhelming in it, just a solid beer the give a little bit of malt, little bit of hops, and a little dryness on the tongue to round out the offering.

Single finger thick head with excellent lacing on a reddish amber cloudy body. Sweet caramel malts, wet sock hops for aroma which is fairly mild. Flavors of onion, earthy hops, sour caramel malts, metallic finish, dark breads and slightly bitter rye. Medium body and light to moderate carbonation. A lot of flavor but heavily bready and not enough hop influence.
