22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 8/28/2015. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy deep orange/amber color with a 1-2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass; with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pine, caramel, brown sugar, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of juicy citrus/tropical/piney hops and moderate dark/bready malt sweetness; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pine, caramel, brown sugar, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Large amount of pine/citrus rind bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, pine, caramel, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice compelxity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical/piney hops and moderate dark/bready malt sweetness; with a great malt/bitterness balance and no astringent hop flavors after the finish. Fair amount of dryness from big bitterness as well. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a very smooth, sticky/resinous, and fairly creamy mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a small warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice DIPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical/piney hops and moderate dark/bready malt sweetness; and very smooth and easy to sip on for the big ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

A - Pours a hazy amber with a one-finger white head. The head lingers to a small ring leaving a good amount of soapy lacing.
S - Aroma is caramel malts and citrus.
T - The taste starts with a strong amount of caramel malt sweetness. There is also a good of citrus (orange peel, tangerine, and grapefruit) upfront. Strong piney hops appear midpalate and in the finish. Nice lingering bitterness.
M - Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Dry and sticky finish.
O - This is a nice DIPA. Malt forward with a nice hop bite in the finish.
