A bomber purchased at the brewery a few weeks ago dated 05.25.16 poured in my 13oz. snifter.
Look- Pours a caramel color with a small finger of off white foam that settles leaving a ring and lacing around the glass.
Smell- Caramel forward with floral notes and fusel alcohol.
Taste- Caramel malt dominates once again followed by a pleasant floral flavor. A little dose of fusel alcohol in the finish.
Feel- Very light and slick to begin with some alcohol heat in the back.
Overall- A really solid barleywine that has equal parts caramel malt and floral flavor. It's pretty easy drinking for 10 percent bringing just the right amount of alcohol heat in the finish. I wish I would have bought another to cellar and hope they brew this again.
