Reviewed from notes taken when I had this on-draught @ Lengeda pub in Budapest (I think in Summer 2013?).
HEAD: 1.5 fingers in height. Off-white colour. Nice creamy thick consistency. Somewhat milky. Nice complexion. Inconsistent lacing clings to the sides of the glass as the head recedes.
Above average (~3 minute) retention.
BODY: Translucent orange colour of below average vibrance. Not unique or special. Nontransparent. No yeast, lees, or sediment is visible within.
Appears adequately carbonated.
AROMA: Nectary hops. Pale malts. Floral hops. Hop oils. Some tangerine.
A pleasant aroma of average strength. No overt yeast, booze, or off-notes.
TASTE: Pale malts, tangerine, some citrus, floral hop flavour, a bit of unwelcome nectary hop flavour, and mild oily hop flavour. Neither very hop-emphatic nor very bitter (contrary to its name), but what it definitely is is underwhelming.
Painfully simple, with an okay balance. Average duration, depth, and intensity of flavour. Has no subtlety or intricacy to its build.
A cohesive enough beer, but far from harmonious or gestalt.
MOUTHFEEL: Smooth, wet, lightly oily, medium-bodied. A bit too thick for the style and flavour profile. Clean, with a decent presence on the palaate. Suits the taste okay, I suppose.
Not oily, astringent, gushed, hot, boozy, harsh, rough, or grating. Overcarbonated.
OVERALL: Drinkable albeit underwhelming. Needs more hop flavour. Hides its ABV decently, but I wouldn't recommend it to others. Pretty forgettable fare.

I found this on tap at a pub in Budapest. I've been here for 5 weeks and IPAs aren't in fashion or convenient availability here so my impression of this beer reflects that I've been drinking only Belgian beers for the last month and a half. So in that context this was a very refreshing change of pace and welcome return to bitter hoppiness. This is a tasty beer, no complaints but that being said, it wouldn't hold up to some of my favorite IPAs if they were more more recent on my palate. The grapefruity characteristic of say Sculpin isn't there. But this isn't all that far from Hoptical Illusion of Southern Tier 2X. Both of those are similarly bitter without much citrus. All in all, I'm enjoying this beer as I type!

Bottle says: premium American IPA, list Chinook, cascade and Amarillo hops on the ingredients list.
Pours frothy head, deep orange amber color, unfiltered, very cloudy.
Light hop smell, some hop, off smells reminiscent of home brew, stale hops again.
disappointing - bitterness, very little aroma from the hops, a lot of bitterness.
Shop I bought from stored it warmed, was pretty hot and humid for summer, would be interested to try it on tap. Not sure if issues are with the storage or the fact that the brewer is importing American hops?
