Pours an effervescent & chestnut tinged mahogany with 3 fingers of mocha colored head. Slightly below average head retention & lacing, a little dissapointing as stouts go
S: Roastyness, dark fruit, molasess, raisins, ghost booze &
T: Roastyness, a little chocolate, dryness, a touch of molasess & leafy hops, a little bit of fig as well up front. Dryness, carob, herbal & woody hoppyness as this warms, faint caramel notes as well, plus some lactose & just a little molasess. Finishes dry, with a whisper of alcohol, a little fruitty with some carob & roastyness
MF: Medium bodied, firm carbonation, a bit warming
Drinks alright, started better than it finishes. This is a pretty decent dry stout with a slight touch of lactose. I've yet to be dissapointed by these guys, this isn't one of their better offerings, but no slouch
