This east meets west coast IPA has a BIG tropical and stone fruit aroma, followed by a citrus and grapefruit taste through the middle, then finishes dry with a clean bitterness. Truly an Ozarks-style IPA. We add all of our Cascade, Centennial, Mosaic, and Citra hops later in the process to achieve a highly aromatic beer with a fruity backbone that comes from our unique house yeast strain.

Poured from 12oz can into glass. No canning date information found.
Cloudy, pale gold colored body. One finger of white head upon pouring settles back to thin cap. Leaves behind large spots of lacing.
Lots of grassy/floral hops in the aroma, along with tropical and citrus hops.
Taste is grassy also, and has some peach component. Later in the profile are more bitter grapefruit flavors.
Medium mouth feel. Finish is dry and short. Good carbonation.
Easy drinking IPA with a real mix of hop flavors. Very good for a short session.

12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden amber color with a small, khaki-colored head of foam. It smelled of pine, citrus and toasted caramel. It tasted malty with a strong dose of caramel and pine.

No canning date.
Pours a hazy dark orange. Fluffy off-white head with beautiful lacing.
A bit too floral forward on both the nose and taste for me.

I got a can of White River's Gravel Bar IPA that my friend is sharing with me. I've never had anything for this brewery before and I'm interested to see how it turns out, so lets see how it goes. 2016 Vintage. Poured from a 12oz can into a IPA glass.
A- The can looks nice, it's got a good look to it and it's just a little eye catching. It poured a nice orange color that took on more of a brighter orange color when held to the light with half a fingers worth of bubbly almost light tan head that died down to a thin ring that eventually faded away and it left a little bit of spotty lacing behind. This is a good looking IPA, I have no complaints.
S- The aroma starts off with a medium amount of sweetness with the hops being the first to show up and they impart a nice mixture of tropical fruit, citrus rinds, green hops and a little bit of floral hop aromas and it's the fruity hops that seem to stick out the most. Up next comes a little bit doughy yeast with the malts coming up next and they impart a grainy, pale malt, biscuit and bready like aromas with the bread aromas sticking out the most. This beer has a good aroma, I like the hop profile and it has good balance.
T- The taste seems to be similar to the aroma, but it's a little lighter and it starts off with a medium amount of sweetness with the hops still being the first to show up, they are a little bit lighter than they were in the aroma, but they still impart the same aspects, but this time the fruity hops stick out the most with a good amount of green hops showing up in the background. Up next comes the doughy yeast which leads into the malts which impart all the same aspects that it did in the aroma. Towards the end there's a slightly higher amount of medium bitterness with the fruity hops and the bready malts showing in the aftertaste. This is a pretty nice tasting IPA, it's got the same good balance that was in the aroma, but I wish the hops stuck out just a little more.
M- Smooth, crisp, slightly clean, a little prickly, on the lighter side of being medium bodied with a higher amount of carbonation. The mouthfeel is very nice and it works well with this beer.
Overall I thought this was a good beer and good example of the style, it was true to style and there wasn't anything that shouldn't be there, I thought the balance was one of the highlights. This beer had nice drinkability, I could drink a couple. What I like the most about this beer is the balance, no flavor ever got to be too overpowering. What I like the least about this beer is that the hops didn't show up just a little more in the taste. I would buy this beer if I saw it and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice and true to style IPA. All in all I was happy with this beer, it was pretty standard for an IPA with no flavor that were out of the norm, but I thought the balance made for a well executed beer. This beer made for a good first impression for this brewery and It's a good example of an IPA. Good job guys this is a good IPA, keep it up.

Bronze colored decent head. Smells of citrus and pine. Tastes of citrus and pine, really bright and smooth. Juicy is a good word. Very solid ipa, White River is starting to make a name for itself.

Pours an effervescent bronze with 2 fingers of cream colored head. Hazes up as the can is emptied
S: Bready, orange peel, fades a bit as it warms. Very good head retention and good lacing
T: Orange peel & a little grapefruit & some dryness up front. Lime & tangerine as this warms, more dryness, & grassiness as this warms. Finishes with citrus (pamelo & grapefruit, plus tangerine) & bready dryness
MF: Light/medium body, firm carbonation, pretty nice balance
Very drinkable & a nice offering
