I got a can of White River's C Street Pale that my brother is sharing with me. The IPA turned out to be good and I'm looking forward to see how the Pale Ale is, so lets see how it goes. 2016 Vintage. Poured from a 12oz can into a IPA glass.
A- The can looks nice, it's pretty standard for the brewery, but it's a little eye catching. It poured a golden orange color that's slightly hazy and it took on more of a brighter orange color when held to the light with a half a fingers worth of bubbly off white head that died down to a thin ring that eventually faded away and it left just a little bit of spotty lacing behind. This is a pretty nice looking beer, it looks true to style and I have no complaints.
S- The aroma starts off with a slightly higher amount of medium sweetness with the hops being the first to show up, they have a citra like aroma with some citrus rind, tropical fruit and fruit juice aromas with a slight bit of piney and floral hops that show up the background. Up next comes a little bit of doughy yeast and it's followed by the malts which impart a sweet malt, pale malt and bready aromas. This beer has a good aroma, I like the hop profile and it's well balanced.
T- The taste seems to be pretty similar to the aroma and it starts off with a slightly higher amount of medium sweetness with the hops still being the first to show up and they are a little lighter than they were in the aroma, but they still retain of some of the fruity citra aspects that I got in the aroma and there's hardly any yeast flavors with more of a clean yeast flavors this time and it's followed by the malts which are a little lighter than they were in the aroma, but they impart the same aspects. On the finish there;s a higher amount of light bitterness that doesn't linger with a citrus rind and hoppy aftertaste. This is a pretty nice tasting Pale Ale, but I wish the taste was more like the aroma.
M- Smooth, crisp, slightly refreshing, on the thicker side of being light bodied with a slightly lighter amount of medium carbonation. The mouthfeel is nice, but I wish it had a little more carbonation.
Overall I thought this was a pretty nice beer and it's a nice example of a Pale Ale, the aroma was going the right direction, but when it got to the taste it got a little lighter and that ended up holding this beer back just a little. This beer had nice drinkability, I could drink a couple of them. What I like the most about this beer is the aroma, it was good and the highlight of this beer. What I like the least about this beer is the carbonation, I wish it had a little more. I would buy this beer if I saw it and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a solid Pale Ale. All in all I liked this beer, but I didn't love it and I think with a little more work this could become a very nice beer. It's not a favorite from this brewery, but it's above average for the style. Nice job guys, this is a solid Pale Ale, keep it up.

Pours an effervescent honey color with 2 fingers or pearl colored head. Insane lacing and good head retention
S: Pine & mango
T: Follows the nose, some bready sweetness, and tangerine. Pears, tangerine, and pine as this warms. Finishes a little dry with pine and mango
MF: Light/medium body with slight carbonation, good balance
Highly drinkable, this may be in the Summer rotation

Pours a dark golden with a small head. Smells of malt and pine. Hops and pine evident in the taste but end with a more malty flavor. Very well balanced and very good. Definitely will have again.
