dark orange mix with apricot. Pours hard with about an inch of head but losses carbonation quickly. constant banana/orange with a touch of apricot on the nose. Pleasant contrast to the smell with spices.
Traveled on vacation and was pleasantly surprised.

Hazy light gold, thin white head, lacks the height that I would expect. Retention is just ok but good lace
Banana and apricot fruitiness in the nose, clove is very slight. I like the apricot.

Definitely a beer that surprised me a little, after countless Japanese hefeweizens before this one I had assumed they were all pretty similar but the addition of some butterscotch & vanilla to this one kept things interesting. The beer was sweeter than expected & even had some subtle fruits towards the end of the nose which I liked; a very nice beer & one I'd like to try again at some point.
