Dark brown color but bright light passes through the center of the glass. Modest head that settles to rim bubbles and leaves no lace.
Mild smell with some unsweetened chocolate but no coffee.
Thinner than Miyajima’s other beers, it has the body of an Irish stout (but with carbonation). The flavor is closer to a Porter—semisweet cocoa but no coffee. Easy to drink but not too potent on the tongue.
