A: Pours a cloudy medium to dark burnt orange in color with slightly heavier than moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising quickly along the edges of the glass and faint dark golden yellow + honey colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall fizzy foamy white head that quickly reduces to a small to medium sized patch of extremely thin film and a very thin ring at the edges of the glass. Minimal amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Light to moderate aromas of tropical/passionfruit and citrus/lime over the top of light to moderate aromas of pale + wheat + cereal grain malts. There are light aromas of herbal/rose hip and herbal/juniper as well as light aromas of wood/hickory. There are slightly stronger than moderate aromas of slightly spicy saison yeast + slightly funky, earthy brett with a hint of tartness.
T: Upfront there are just shy of moderate flavors of pale + wheat + cereal grain malts with a minimal amount of sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of slightly spicy saison yeast and slightly funky, earthy brett with a light to moderate amount of tartness. That is followed by light to moderate flavors of tropical/passionfruit + citrus/lime, light flavors of herbal/rose hip + herbal/juniper, and light flavors of wood/hickory. Minimal amounts of bitterness that fades quickly but a light amount of lingering tartness.
M: Light to medium bodied with moderate to heavy amounts of carbonation. Crisp with a light amount of acidic prickliness and a light amount of dryness in the finish.
O: Very enjoyable and quite interesting, I like the addition of Maypop (something new to me) as it contributes from fruity hop-like aromas and there is a pleasant tartness. Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol. Definitely worth trying again.
