To commemorate our brewery's 2nd anniversary celebration, Anniversarium II is brewed in the tradition of the great Belgian monastic tripels, but with our own unique interpretation. We used rye in the mash for an added spiciness to the predominately sweet malt flavors and ester notes characteristic of this classic Belgian-style ale.

Light and easy to drink. Not enough flavor for me to give it much higher scores. Definitely a good beer. Light color, lingering head, fairly clear.

32oz growler from The Craft Beer Factory (Marietta, GA). 11.00. Served in a Three Taverns goblet.
Pours a hazy but not quite opaque brilliant gold with about a half finger of white head. A bold white halo remains, depositing a few sizeable swaths of lace.
Smells sweet and yeasty. Fruity yeast esters, sugars, pale fruits, glazed pastries and a little vague clove. Quite nice with the traditional notes of banana and clove coming to the forefront as it warms.
That theme of sweetness continues in the flavor. Raw sugar-crusted banana, vanilla, caramel, yeast, vague spice, apple skins, faint clove, apricots and a slight booze burn. The rye malt and candy sugar mix well with the base to create a delicious and dangerously drinkable tripel.
Creamy, smooth body with pillowy soft carbonation. Sweetness lingers in the finish with a mix of banana, raw sugar and some yeasty fruit notes.
Three Taverns celebrates their second anniversary in style with Anniversarium II. It is one of the best American brewed tripels that I've tried and well worth trying if you enjoy the style and see it on tap.

A Tripel with rye added. Served in a Belgian goblet at brewery. Pretty standard Tripel leaning less to fruity esthers and more to sweet malt. The rye is not very pronounced. A solid offering from Three Taverns that is true to style with a bit of rye to spice things up.
