Single Intent pays tribute to Belgium's Trappist breweries, which make a lighter-bodied blonde ale that's set apart for the monks' personal consumption and not sold - hence the term patersbier, meaning "father's beer." With a spicy, herbal aroma from French Strisselspalt hops, this crisp and complex ale is too good to keep cloistered.

Had Single Intent at Cat Cora's Kitchen, Terminal A, ATL, on draft into pint tumbler.
Bright and spicy, this Belgian Pale is a good match for Cat Cora's mildly spicy fish stew.

Draft pour into plastic cup; I hate plastic!! Golden color with creamy head. I detect a subtle sweet smell (like straw), not sure what to expect in taste. Sharp on the front that mellows quickly and fades to peppery tones. Medium, balanced beer that was just okay for me.

A good Summer Beer. Goes down easy. A lot better than Heffs.

Golden orange pour with quickly disappearing thin head. Wild and yeasty homemade wine aromas with some spices. The flavors shine as this beer warms and the character only gets better. Nicely done blond ale.

I absolutely loved this beer. It had a great smell, taste, and feel. It felt perfect for a relaxing night at home. As my first beer from Three Taverns, I was very impressed.

Pours a huge, soapy white head that has great persistence. Yeast and floral hops in the nose. Starts with a surprising bitterness (not high by any means, though). Yeasty esters and spice follow. As the malt starts to come through, the spice is highlighted; lingering hop bitterness behind it all.
This isn't too bad. A tad on the hoppy side for my preference, but not really hoppy, overall.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass.
Aroma- I get some malt, yeast, hops and a hint of citrus.
Appearance- This beer is a clear golden yellow with a small white head.
Taste- Hops is the big flavor that I detect, it is really good.
Palate- A light to medium bodied beer with real lively carbonation. I noticed that a previous reviewer noticed a peppery content. After reading it, I did realize that was what I was sensing. very cool
Overall- A really good brew. This is my first beer from this brewer. It won't be my last.
