Appearance: A bubble show produces a thick, two finger head with excellent retention and clumpy ; the liquid below is amber colored and fairly clear
Smell: Bread and caramel prominent, with stone fruit undertones
Taste: Toasted bread forward with some caramel sweetness building and hints of stone fruit underneath; earthy hop flavors, in the middle, and a dry, somewhat bitter finish
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: A well crafted ESB from a brewer who knows his way around the English styles
