Look is pretty basic to style - dark brown / black. Would like there to be a bit more head retention to carry some of the aroma, particularly malt notes. Smell is definitely sweet - vanilla, maple, lactose, milk chocolate syrup, minimal roasted barley notes. The lactose sweetness and maple merge a bit, become indistinct. A bit more separation of the two and more bitter / malt notes would add some needed complexity. Delicious nevertheless and great mouthfeel at the lower abv.
