1lt flip top thanks to Steve from 2017 RIS tasting. Black, oily pour, small beige head. Super sweet aroma, chocolate and marshmallows. Roast grains come forward at first sip , but the candy sweetness is still present, blending nicely and accented by the alcohol heat. Nice dessert beer.

Crowler: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a dark brown foamy head. Aroma of residual sugar notes with some black chocolate notes and light warming alcohol notes. Taste is an intense mix of residual sugar notes with some black chocolate notes with some warming alcohol notes. Body is full with oily texture and good carbonation with some alcohol notes perceptible. Interesting beer but best shared with many friends.

From a week old Crowler
Appropriately named. This is diabetes in a can. A strong cinnamon/nutmeg spice on the nose. That spice is noticeable throughout. A marshmallow like flavor with rich vanilla sweetness stand out on top of a milk chocolate backdrop. No real hint of the alcohol. A little bit of coffee flavor as it warms, but more of a charred grain Fairly thick, but not in hard to drink way. More of a creaminess. There’s a pepper like bite from the cinnamon. A tasty beer, but not sure I could make it through 32oz because it’s really rich.

This beer is great for what it is. The concept beers are not meant to be balanced to style, they are meant to be experimental. Most of what AC does is great. This one was a little sweet for me, but tasted like straight smores. The lactose masters strike again!

From a 32oz growler from Mark, thanks!
A: Pours silky octopus ink and syrup looking. Inch brown head with good lacing.
N: Pronounced sweetness, somewhat vague vanilla and chocolate.
T: I was expecting intense chocolate sweetness, but got Banana, Walnut and Chocolate. My drinking buddy agreed. However, half way through my pint, the Banana faded and in its' place I got Strawberry. This beer is very sweet and is definitely a dessert beer. I'm not quite sure what flavors for which AC was aiming, but if you like the zany sweet creations of Ben and Jerry's ice cream, and like dessert style stouts, seek this one out. 11.1 abv undetectable.
F: Silky smooth.
O: Even though the sweet flavors were somewhat of an unorthodox mix, I really enjoyed this beer and would love to try it on tap. Bourbon barrel aging would probably make this stellar.
