Poured from a 750mL bottle into an angry chair pint glass. Acquired in a trade.
Pours a deep black inky body with a one finger brown head that reduces to leave a ring of retention. Little lacing.
Aromas are cinnamon and sweet malts, cocoa and chocolate, with some spiciness from the peppers in there.
On the tongue this is moderately sweet with lots of cinnamon and chocolate cocoa, some vanilla and cocoa, marshmallow, peppers that become more and more spicy as you sip on it. This is quite a spicy stout, it burns the lips after a few sips! I love spicy foods and stouts so this is right up my alley. It might not be for everyone. Pretty thick, velvety mouthfeel with low carbonation.
A unique stout, pretty spicy with a good cinnamon presence without being overpowering. If you like some heat (and not alcohol heat) in a stout, this is for you.
