This oily, syrupy burnt motor oil black beer with no head was way too sweetly astringent for me with a sticky viscosity featuring notes of marshmallow that aren't propped up by much else but sugary sweetness.
I've had it a second time since this initial review and had the same exact reaction. And this is coming from someone that loves a good number of Angry Chair's pastry stouts. There's just too much carnival-esque cloyingness here for me.

Caramel and lactose combine nicely. Cocoa is refined not overpowering.

Poured a black body with minimal head and no lace. Chocolate and lactic aroma. The cocoa nibs give off a great “almost-bitter” chocolate sweetness, the lactic qualities make beer silky smooth and there’s a sticky aspect to beer. Great balance with mild coffee dryness on finish and ABV complements beer on finish.
