Pitch black body with a brown head. Smells of hazelnut, coconut, marshmallow, light cinnamon and base of dark cocoa. Tastes adds vanilla and bittersweet chocolate to the mix. Almost has a hot cocoa with roasted cinnamon hazelnuts flavoring all together. Feel is thick, chewy, sweet more than roasty, and heavy. It's good but it is no rocky road as the sweetness here builds up more

Bottle pour. Tan head, black color.
Coconut, and what seems like hazelnut. Vanilla, chocolate, fudge. Pastry stout. Maybe a tad too sweet, but good flavors.

Silky black ribbons build a solid black base with a puffy mocha foam that wiggles and jiggles with unapologetic glee.
Marshmallow tees you right off at the the rim of the bottle. Coconut adds a mild floral note and plays right off the vanilla marshmallow, confusing the two, but never coming to the fore. The nutty tang is just delicious. Toasty hazelnut comes out on the finish in a surprisingly savory sort of satisfyingly sharp way, cutting right through the pastry. Coconut blooms and becomes more floral as it warms, but it still maintains a fine background presence, even behind notes of dark chocolate chip, and it's a nice complement overall.
Smooth medium roast and chocolatey malt run along the silky thick middle as a mild tingly crisp carbonation slightly expands to a softened, slightly powder dry, slightly sticky finish. The finish actually dries out more with time as it warms.
Not gloppy. Not viscous. Not sticky. Delivering all the beetus without the regretful heft. A pastry stout masterpiece.
