Void black with a dark burnt mocha head that fizzles out audibly fairly quickly.
The presence of dark and boozy charred bourbon barrel oak is immediate and more potent than most of their other barreled stouts. It actually reminds me very much of Sunday Morning Stout, which is not a bad thing at all, due to its toasted, caramelized sort of mocha coffee bean character swirling around the charred barrel notes in perfect harmony. Vanilla comes through next, and with a peppery sort of spice to it that makes it seem both from the added vanilla and also as an extracted element from the barrel.
The maple is thankfully far more subtle than the insane punch to the mouth Woke was. It's more like a honey maple, and more present on the nose than the palate, ultimately resulting in the taste being more focused on barrel and coffee.
The body is medium and slick, yet crackly and dry on the swallow. The stout base itself is mild and allows room for all these different complements, much like Bourbon County in that way, which is pretty perfect.

Poured a black body with no head and lace bubbles around glass. The beer has a boozy, woody aroma with hints of maple. Thick body, sticky maple sweetness, along with a woody smoothness and a very minor vanilla edge replete with balanced tendencies. Overall, you get a dry finish that could be coffee or charred wood in a moderately sweet beer that is worth trying.

A half pour at the brewery.
Look- A awesome deep black with next to no head. Thick all the way through.
Smell- Coffee, chocolate and maple. One of my favorite combinations.
Taste- The chocolate is light but the coffee and maple mix great.
Feel- Light carbonation and a clean coating left behind.
Overall- Another fantastic stout from Angry Chair.
