From a 16oz can, undated. Purchased at the brewery 06/29/22. Gently agitated and served in a tulip.

Pours a viscous plummy sludge with a scant half-finger of pinkish foam. Head holds for the best part of nearly a second leaving a wispy cap and a few suds around the margins. If you’ve ever seen cranberry ketchup, picture that.

Nose is totally at odds with the appearance, smelling flat-out like marshmallow fluff. Some blueberry character develops as it warms.

Taste is in accord with the nose. As advertised, tasting marshmallow and blueberry. When we were kids, we made marshmallow and jelly sandwiches. So, like that, but blueberry jam. Cherry vapors in the sinuses after the sip.

Feel is thick and sludgy, gritty, maybe some carbonation? but irrelevant to the mouthfeel. Fruit purée. Acidic.

Overall, not as outrageous as Yellow Puffs but an abomination nevertheless. It’s tasty as fuck but it is not beer. Also, it’s not sour, unless you count the stomach acid.

Poured from a 32oz crowler into an angry chair pint glass. Thanks Ed for the hookup.

Pours a deep maroon, pulpy juicy opaque body with a generous purple fluffy head that reduces slowly to leaving some good retention.

Aromas are potent and full of blueberry, marshmallow, blue raspberry warheads, blueberry pie-like.

On the tongue it’s smooth and creamy, blueberry cream candy, lightly tart, just tart enough. Lightly sweet with more berry flavors on the follow through, raspberry, blackberry, aftertaste is light but overall this packs some delicious flavor for how easy to drink it is. Medium carbonation and medium-light body.

I liked this a lot - I could drink this all summer. Insanely easy to drink with lots of flavor but not over the top or overly light.

Can’t believe I like this. Looks like some Crayola color...mulberry maybe? Zero head, thinner mouthfeel than expected by its appearance. But the taste surprisingly is not sweet but full of fruit flavor, with marshmallow’s taste but not cloying sweetness on the finish. In fact, a touch sour. Aroma of warm pastry. Remarkably drinkable. You’d never guess.
