This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells like dark chocolate, some caramelized nuttiness, vanilla, light coffee, honey, and bourbon.
Even though everything about this screams “WAY TOO SWEET!” it’s really not that bad. I’m not claiming it’s not sweet – that would be patently ridiculous, this is Angry Chair after all – but it’s as balanced as something brewed with both honey AND aged in honey bourbon barrels with a grocery list of adjuncts could be. It’s super creamy tasting, with a really nice dense chocolatey note, a nice creamy nuttiness, just a hint of coffee, and a nice caramelly bourbon character.
This is medium bodied, very creamy, with no booziness at all.
This is highly enjoyable – I tend to be surprised by Angry Chair every so often, and that definitely happened here.

Poured a black body with minimal head and lace down the glass. The aroma is mild but sweet like getting vanilla but not really the honey they state. Smooth, medium body, slightly sticky, has a vanilla and nutty sweetness that has this slick lactic quality to it (and perhaps some barrel smoothness as well) and then this cloying honey sweetness on the end that ends up complementing the beer. Pretty good offering and worth trying if they have it on tap again.

On tap for TBBW 2021 “Sorta Rad” Event.
Lots of honey on the nose, with very subtle cinnamon. Palate is good, rich with honey and vanilla, with a restrained but noticeable pistachio presence. Barrel gives a bit of heat on the tail, but overall this is well-balanced.
