2022 vintage. 6.3 oz waxed and capped bottle into a Side Project snifter.
Pours dense, rich, and opaque. No head but legs for days. Nose is chocolate, molasses, maple syrup, brownie, fudge, and booze This is exactly what I'd expect a bourbon-soaked chocolate cupcake dipped in maple syrup to smell like. Pretty amazing. Beer opens chocolate, cocoa powder, fudge, and maple. Booze in the back is not overwhelming. Hot and syrupy. Chewy brownie in the middle with more hot chocolate and maple in the end. Body is full with low carbonation. Hot, chewy, and sticky on the palate. The viscosity here is spot on. Lingering warm finish. Doesn't get much better.
Overall this is what every barrel-aged adjunct imperial stout should aim to be... yet few are. Near perfect.

Poured a black body with no head and or lace at all. Straight up chocolate aroma with a hint of booze and that's it. Smooth, slick body, has a woody smoothness to boot, a great chocolate sweetness with well-hidden booze makes it a slow sipper that is easy to drink. A one-note dessert beer that isn't for everyone but is lovely to enjoy (for me).
