A fresh perspective on our classic Imperial German Chocolate Cupcake Stout. We amped up the coconut and threw enough cinnamon in it to give it a nice kick, along with a blend of Ecuadorian, Guatemalan, Haitian and Ugandan cacao nibs and Madagascar vanilla beans. Contains lactose.

Bottled 2022. 750 ml bottle purchased at the brewery. Poured at 56°. Brown fizzy head; poor cap retention; thin ring; a few spots of lace; flecks of coconut cling to side of glass; black with ruby edges. Nose is chocolate cake with cinnamon; not much coconut on nose. Chocolate cake entry closely followed by cinnamon; coconut is present and accounted for in middle; vanilla swirl on backend. Full body, viscous feel - creamy lactose, but not adjuncty; moderate minus carbonation; no warmth from 10.5% abv. Overall, tastes like German Chocolate Cupcake with cinnamon; the cinnamon is not overpowering and blended nicely either the chocolate/coconut; another great variant of a classic from the pastry stout masters at Angry Chair.
