750ml capped bottle into a Side Project snifter.
Pours pitch black. Slick, oily. No head or lace. Thinner legs than I'm used to. Nose is syrup, brown sugar, dates, and other dried dark fruit. Deep and rich but with nice balance. Beer opens with flavors of cinnamon, dates, and mochi. Touch of caramel and molasses in the middle. Loads of lactose and coffee towards the end. Like an over-milked latte. Semi-sweet burnt pancake syrup at the finish. Body is full with low carbonation. Slick and oily on the palate and goes down soft, velvety. Long, lingering aftertaste.
This one's great. Really unique with a lighter, balanced body.
