750ml capped bottle into a Side Project snifter.
Pours thick and viscous. Like a port mixed with corn syrup. Huge legs. Nose is molasses, marshmallow, and chocolate bars. Very aromatic, deep, and rich. Beer opens molasses, brown sugar, and anise. Sweet dark fruit, marshmallow, and cocoa powder in the middle. Overly sweet. Brown sugar, dates, and syrup at the finish with the slightest twinge of tartness. Body is full with low carbonation. Thick and oily on the palate and sticky going down with a long, lingering aftertaste.
This one's a bit too much for me. Needs some time for the cloying sweetness to drop out.
