Poured from a 750ml bottle into an Angry Chair snifter.

Beer pours jet black with a chocolate hue. There is no head or lacing, but there are small pieces of the adjuncts that float on the surface, and stick to the glass when swirled. Beer leaves heavy sticky alcohol legs on the glass as well.

Aroma is sweet coconut and cinnamon with a nice boozy whiskey note.

Taste follows the nose. It’s very sweet upfront with a blast of cinnamon on the middle is the tongue, and boozy dry whiskey finish. The coffee bitterness blends into the finish making me want another sip.

Mouthfeel is heavy, and mouth coating, but not syrupy. There’s very little carbonation, which is expected with pieces of coconut floating in the beer.

Overall, this is one of the best Angry Chair barrel aged beers I’ve ever had. I picked this bottle up at the brewery a month after the release, and I feel fortunate that it was still available

Poured a black body with minimal khaki head that quickly died. The aroma comes across as burnt chocolate with touches of cinnamon and wood. Smooth, creamy, still a heavy body but not sticky, has a spicy and heated booziness to it along with dry cocoa sweetness with a little prickle on the backend.

750ml capped bottle into a BBT snifter.

Pours dense, rich, and flat. No head or lace though there is the presence of some floaties. Super thick legs the stain the glass. Nose is chocolate syrup, light roasty tartness, and an old musty, oakiness. Beer opens chocolate, toasted coconut, and sweet cream up front. Layers of lactose and vanilla in the middle. Chocolate syrup, thin mints, and mounds at the end with a conspicuously mellow coffee presence. Slightly boozy finish. Body is full with low carbonation. Slick and oily on the palate. Rich, viscous, and filmy going down. Long, lingering, sticky aftertaste.

Pretty good. Coconut and coffee are fading at this point whereas the vanilla and cream presence are very prominent.
