What a spectacular dessert beer - well balanced, expressive, and malty sweet - there is so much to it. Perfectly black, a smell that is a perfect as anything I have put my nose too, and the creamiest, thickest mouthfeel I have had in quite sometime. Balanced on the tongue as well, what you have here is a beautifully crafted beer, well used as an after dinner dessert...

16oz. Can into a Side Project snifter.
Pours slick, oily. Coarse, 0.5 finger mocha head that collapses. Oily legs. Nose is milk chocolate, sweet cream, and coconut. Like a Mounds bar. Beer opens Coca Cola float. Hints of syrup, milk chocolate, vanilla, and coconut. Brown sugar and breakfast syrup in the middle. More sweet cream and milk chocolate to finish. Like drinking a chocolate bar but somehow not too sweet. Body is full with low carbonation. Slick and filmy on the palate but lighter than expected. Lingering aftertaste.
The feel really makes this one and doesn't weigh it down. Really nice.

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours nearly black, opaque black in the glass with a quarter finger dark khaki head that slowly dissipates to a thin cap with light lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, cinnamon, lactose, cocoa and nutmeg. Flavor is semi-sweet dark toasted malt, cocoa, coconut, lactose, cinnamon and a little nutmeg; a little molasses in the finish. Medium bodied with moderate creaminess, nice mouth feel. A full flavored dark dessert stout that presents its numerous adjuncts quite well. Coconut and cinnamon are dominant flavors melding with the malt cocoa character, but each the lighter flavors are present through the taste. There is a decided Mexican chocolate vibe in the aroma and taste, but it is sidetracked by the coconut. I thought at first the nutmeg made was too much added flavor, but it is light and mostly shows up in the finish, where I started to look forward to it. Fairly busy, but holds together enjoyably. A bit on the sweet side, but stops short of standard dessert stout cloying. I liked this one.

poured from a 16oz can into a SP BBT23 spiegelau snifter. pours dark brown but gathers in the glass a shiny black with a little over a finger of mocha brown foam head. roasted malts, baking spices, almost has a tiramisu aroma to it. taste follows but with a bit more coconut and cocoa. thick mouthfeel. not bad. kind of a weird combination of flavors though.

Poured a black body with minimal head and lace. Aroma has notes of coconut, booze and touches of cinnamon. Beer kind of tastes the same as there is coconut, cinnamon, something like vanilla extract that combines for a spicy sweetness in this silky smooth medium body as it has well-hidden booze and is an easy drinking dangerous sipper.
