16oz can split between several tasters. Canned on 11/22/19. Gift from a generous BA.
Pours black with very little head and no retention. Smell is chocolate, roasty notes, and pineapple.
Taste is sweet chocolate, light flavors of roasted grains, definitely some pineapple (which is really contributing to the sweetness), and maybe a hint of anise.
Mouthfeel is on the lighter side of thick, slightly chewy. This is a very nice beer.

Look: Jet black and a vigorous pour leads to a beige, pillowy head with good retention and lacing
Aroma: Coconut, rum, cocoa/chocolate and a little nuttiness – smells big too with slight wafts of alcohol heat coming through
Taste: Huge chocolate up front with coconut and again the nuttiness to follow – finishes with rum-barrel notes and a little alcohol heat to round it out. Finishes boldly but not heavy, sweet, or cloying
Mouthfeel: Oily, slick, and chewy but again the alcohol heat keeps the feel lighter on the tongue than expected for a 12% ABV beer
Overall: This is really good! It’s not a style I drink very often (Barrel-aged impy stouts) but it is well executed and the flavors mesh very nicely without anything dominating the flavor or aroma profile. Mouthfeel keeps this one from being a super slow sipper and the alcohol is hidden pretty well throughout. Worth the try/buy!

Review #1403
I picked up a growler of this beer after I had a sample. This is the second beer from Sunriver. The first one I tried was the Cocoa Cow. The pour of the beer produced a two-fingered creamy tan head. The retention of the head is average with little lacing on the glass. The color of the beer is SRM 36, dark brown, nearly black.
A massive amount of chocolate smacks my nose. Coconut, wood, and espresso followed the first whiff. Next, I smell molasses, toffee, caramel, toasted malts, raisins, burnt sugar, nutty, cream, roasted malts, and earthiness.
The flavors in the beer are milk chocolate, medium roasted coffee, nuts, coconuts, molasses, toffee, wood, resin, caramel, toasted malts, fruity esters, a hint of floral, bready, burnt sugar, creamy, earthiness, raisins and a touch of phenol.
The mouthfeel of the beer is chewy and vibrant.
The body of the beer is full, medium carbonation, and a full finish.
This beer is like chewing on a chocolate bar with nuts and coconuts. This beer is sinfully delicious. The beer is sweeter than most dark stouts, but do not let that discourage you from trying this chocolate bomb. I am not a fan of sweeter beers, but the decadent chocolate flavors give me pause. I wish I could pick up more of this beer, sadly the growler did not last long. I enjoyed this beer immensely.
