Had West LA Hopaway at Cherry Street Brewing Northshore, Chattanooga, on draft into footed tulip, and also poured from can, "Product of Tennessee," bottom stamped (apparently) canned on "02/23/22," into tulip pint.
Pours light amber with clarity and 1-finger very light tan head, with good retention, leaving thick chunky lace (less from can) down the glass. Floral, berry, tropical melon and hop spice aromas off the pour, and some herbal elements and a bit of malt as warms. Begins with nice full body and some caramel malt presence, almost immediately joined by big biting pine, then some citrus and melon before a nicely bitter finish.
Old school West Coast IPA, still a bit malty and mostly about the big piney bite, but lots of hop aromatics and flavors too. Also drinks bigger than 6.8.

Served in the brew pub. Copper color wth a nice head. Mild hoppy aroma. Smoothly carbonated. Tangy flavor mildly hoppy. If I lived near here I'd come mor often.

Poured from the tap into a pint glass. The appearance is a nice golden amber with a small white head. The aroma is hop driven. The taste is an excellent hop flavor. A really good IPA.

Appearance: Hazed, light copper body with a wispy, whitish head. Moderate lacing.
Smell: Lightly bready, lightly grainy pale malts underneath the citrus-scented hop element. Also, a teensy bit of butter diacetyl present in this batch.
Taste: Pale malts with a minor grainy tone to them and a low overall sweetness. Citrus, florals, then, some late-breaking sweetness, then, back to the hops with light resins and grapefruit. Drying, citrusy, faintly buttery finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation.
Overall: A sufficient, tidy IPA.
