Had on tap at SBC. Nice early style WC IPA. Decent malt background with largely traditional WC hops…Worked well with my Udon Noodle dish. Enjoyed. Would have again.

Enjoyed on tap at brewery, Seward Alaska July 2020.
A: Light rustic orange coloring has some dark red highlights with lighting. A bubbly cream/tan head is quick to dissipate to a scattered covering. A big amount of creamy bubbly lacing sticks well to the vessel. Carbonation is slight.
S: The nose is light in strength, lemony with some fresh orange blossom. Some wildflowers, fresh floral gives subtle highlights. There is a bit of caramel malting here. Seems like the Alaskans like a strong caramel malt base in their beers from what I have been noticing.
T: Bittering dry hop flowers for flavor opens up to moderate strong terms. Very bittering with a strong malt backbone for support provides grassy-dry floral notes. Dry hopped finish keeps up the intensity.
M: The mouthful was malty, along with some spicy nature on the inner cheeks. Light carbonation texture, creamy feel, dry.
O: Overall another old school dry hopped, specialty malt base beer comes as no surprise as Alaskans like their beers malty and strong to get them through the winter. Grassy edge, very bittering and another high Chinook hop utilized beer from Seward. Malty dry flowers best sums this up.

Lasting head which leaves very nice blanketing lace on the glass. The liquid is cloudy with a dirty gold to copper color.
Sweet, fresh floral hop nose. Attractive.
The malt is soft and brief. The hop is quick and biting, far more than the smell suggests. Good body and carbonation. Nice lingering bitterness which isn't as strong as it begins in the swallow.

Pours clear, amber in color with 1/4 inch head. Taste is tangerine, grapefruit, and pine. Slightly bitter, light bodied, with moderate carbonation. Easily the best beer I had from Seward. Nice and juicy and has elements of Treehouse's Sap. Had several of these.
