Can received in Bif14 from @snaotheus
Can notes: “heavily fruited” “ rouse fruit from the bottom of can before opening”
Poured into a Bissel brothers glass
Pinkiskish orange fruit smoothie appearance , funky peachy, orange-y, pinky bib gibbed one finger foam crown quickly settles to nothing with a fruit grainy residue on the walks of the glass . If Odwalla brewed a beer , this is what it would look like
The roused can produces a strong aroma of guava , passionfruit and orange. Smells like a tart guava smoothie
Tart guava, orange and passionfruit flavors
Tiny carbonation , soft fizziness, thick, syrupy, smoothie like texture , tart, quenching
Interesting beer … my second POG sour from @snaotheus , thank you

16oz can served in a footed tulip. Dated 9/9/21. Can says to "rouse fruit from bottom of can before opening" so I rolled it gently for probably a dozen revolutions on my counter and turned it upside down three or four times.
Pours a murky orange/pink/brown. Flash of carbonation that disappears immediately and leaves no lacing, like soda. Unlike soda, it leaves sedimentary residue on the side of the glass. Smell is kettle sour and very ripe tropical fruit.
Taste is very tart and leaning heavily toward (but not diving into) the kettle sour flavor I don't like. There's enough fruit juice flavor to make it less unappealing -- comes across more as fruity tartness than stomach acid. Mango isn't the right fruit, papaya or passionfruit might be. I'm trying to give it the benefit of the doubt for so obviously being kettle soured.
Mouthfeel is thick, almost pulpy but not quite. I'm again giving it the benefit of the doubt, because I think it's intentional. Overall...there is nothing about this that says "IPA" to me, aside from the label. To me, it's just a heavily fruited kettle sour. As such, it seems fine if you're into it, but it's really not my jam.
