Hands down, the best of the three ales we sampled. Served on tap at the pub in a tulip. Dark and inky, with a collar of khaki foam. Beautiful aromas of roasted coffee grounds. Flavor is coffee, cream, dusty, roasty malt, cocoa. This makes two ales brewed with Higher Grounds coffee that are fantastic and I doubt it's a coincidence.

Taste: Bold coffee, Semi sweet dark chocolate malts, smoked tobacco notes, with a dry roasted coffee aroma.
Black, opaque, with a tan foamy lace. Medium/full body.
The oatmeal and dark almost fruit notes balance with dry coffee flavors. Yum.
