A - Dark orange body, clear with just a touch of haze, a short white head, fading slowly, with tight bubble lacing and ropy lines.

S - Strong tea, limestone, lemon zest, and apple juice. Just a hint of funk.

T - The flavor follows the nose, bright with a mild acidity, delicious fruit notes and a bit of stone.

M - Mild carbonation, somewhat light on the tongue, and a reasonably dry close.

O - A subtle and pleasurable rendition, one I sincerely wish I could see again. Delicious.

Was looking for a saison, got this instead of the typical saison dupont. This isn't as dry or as bright as that beer but it definitely tastes like a saison.

You can taste a little bit of the rye along with the wine barrel which is kind of a cool combo in a saison; you get that punch at the end you'd expect from a saison. Nice brett.

I'll stick to my mainstay imported saison for a few dollars more but this wasn't bad by any means.

A Brett saison made with wheat and rye, candi sugar, and other fine things, aged in blended wine barrels. As a result, this is quite a complex offering, with a lot of shifting character as it breathes and warms. The overall impression is clear however, on the earthy, musty funk side of saisons due to the brett. A nice pepper and spice from the rye in the malt bill and the saaz hops. The wine lends some tannic bitterness that further dries out the finish. Quite enjoyable, but in my opinion, it doesn't stack up favorably in comparison to this year's Q1 and Q2 filings.
