12oz can from Tavour. Cloudy amber pour, soft soapy head. Yeasty aroma is tempered somewhat by the honey. Honey picks up in the taste, taking the edge off of the Belgian yeast. Vanilla is faint and crops in the background at the finish. Sweet

Murky orange body with a tan head. Let's hit the taste first as the the estery Belgian yeast is still the star, but adjuncts are there constantly too though they accent, sweetening notes of clementine and peach. Smells strongly of the yeast and sweet vanilla mostly. Feel is light and smooth but not thin at all, yeasty and bright. The wife liked it

Again and as a Belgo-phile living outside of Taxman's distribution area (Indy), they are now my favorite purchase when in Indy... or passing through as is mostly the case. Other than our luck in finding in Indy what is fast becoming one of North America's Top 5 Belgian-inspired brewers, there are several things to like about InvEster.
First, Taxman's dark sense of humor is difficult to categorize. But they love brewing more and the InvEster joke is a very good combo of the their general wariness of taxes and a brewing joke... after all, Esters are what makes ales so popular in the craft world versus lagers.
Second and based on this being my 6th Taxman brew, they also brew on the dark side and call the malt on the lighter side. InvEster is not golden, or even close. UCLABrewN84's addition of InvEster is correct as a BPSA.
Third, I constructed a culinary test for InvEster: a veggie burger cut in half with honey mustard dressing on one half and a honey BBQ on the other. (Kind of a test of cuisines in the sweet& spicy category, American versus Belgian.) InvEster paired well with both; proving sufficiently to me that Taxman clearly is an American crafter inspired by Belgian kitchen brewing.
Fourth, Taxman specializes in not just the full Belgian fruity, yeast-driven flavors... but also in hiding the ABV. Of course from me (and most other BAs I observe), concealing the ABV leads to long, effusive reviews. So I will cut this one short. Fortunately I found a 4-pack I recently when passing through Indy. Cheers !
6/12/22 I'm enjoying InvEster so much that I had a second can today. So for my quick review, I'd say that its Looks are only slightly average (lacking lots of foam that lasts) and Smells are fruity, but are mellowed by the honey and vanilla. Where that pays off for InvEster is that its Tastes excel by melding these ingredients for a malt-head like me. (Modest 13 IBU.) Refreshing and full in my mouth. All that said, I'm happy with this review and will keep count @ UnTappd.

We poured this beer from a can served in a small glass cup.
Appearance - we used small glasses and it appeared as a light to dark amber color.
Smell - very light sweet smell.
Taste - a sweet taste of vanilla and light honey. After the first sip the sensation isn't as strong.
Mouthfeel - very sweet at first then more subtle after the first sip.
Overall - this golden ale was definitely sweet at first but grew on me though the rest of the can. It's hard to compare this ale to any other beers I've had. It wasn't overly filling and I enjoyed the different flavors. I would recommend this to anyone looking for something new and sweet or if your pairing with a dessert.

A Belgian influenced brewery catering to a Belgian influenced beer drinker....a perfect match. Although I don't come across their beers out west too often, I've loved every offering I've been able to get my hands on. Possible Hoosier envy? Thanks for the great beers Taxman.

12oz canned 8-5-19, opened 9-15-19.
1/2" off white head holds for a few minutes and settles in as a solid cap. Orange-amber and opaque. Spotty lacing.
Floral nose, fruit (maybe light citrus and also red apples/apple skin) and some fruity, yeasty esters.
Sweet malt, tree fruit, a mild vanilla that fits perfectly in this beer...pipe tobacco comes to mind.
Honey is evident in the aroma, flavor and feel of this beer - it's very well integrated.
Full body, low carbonation. Smooth mouthfeel. Medium length finish, light bitterness and dry.
8.5% abv is very well hidden.
Very good.
