Poured at fridge temp. Pours a relatively thin dark brown with a solid inch of head. The nose is awesome. Loads of toffee, malts, raisins, figs, and a touch of vanilla.
The taste is fantastic. Tastes more like a barleywine to me, but maybe its the caramel imparted by the barrels. Vanilla, bourbon, figs, prunes, cinnamon bun, and a bit of cookie dough.
The mouthfeel is medium bodied, with an aftertaste of caramel and bourbon. Overall, this is fantastic!

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a dark reddish orange with a quarter finger light khaki head that dissipates to thick patches with light lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, raisins, dried and fresh plums and hint of vanilla and bourbon. Flavor is caramel malt, figs, raisins, fresh plums, oaky vanilla and light bourbon. Medium bodied with moderate creaminess. A solid quadrupel with somewhat light barrel notes, although the mild bourbon meshes perfectly with fruit notes in the malt, deepening the flavor. Vanilla is light as it should be. Well balanced and flavorful. These guys do a nice job with all their big barrel aged ales.

Dark brown in color with a fingernail of brown around the rim and covering a third of the top. The complexion is murky. The aroma is of bourbon and a hefty dose of dark malt. I’m tasting lots of dark malt, bourbon, and vanilla. The mouth is boozy and dry.

12 ounce can into a goblet. Canned 9/17/21, had 12/23/21.
Pours a reddish copper color, semi opaque, with a half inch quickly dissipating head and some light cling. Aromas of malt, caramel, figs, some oak, light bourbon- more as it warms, light cherries. Flavors of bourbon, malt, caramel, some oak, light figs and cherries. Has a little bit of a spicy flavor. Smooth, a very good medium body, appropriately carbonated.
This is nicely done. The flavor really opens up when fully warmed, great aromas and flavors overall. The base beer is solid, but unremarkable. Very enjoyable.

A - Deep burgundy colored pour with light, dense, creamy caramel colored lacing.
S - Dark fruit, prune, plum, toasted caramel, and very delicate oak on the nose.
T - Toasted toffee and caramel, prunes and plum, oak, Bourbon and vanilla, while finishing on the sweeter side with a very subtle bitterness.
M - Thick body that's slippery, leaves a sugary residue on the lips, and warms the back of the throat.
O - This is a really enjoyable Barrel Aged Quad and so glad to finally have tried this one. Recommended and definitely buying more.

Ruby brown body, fairly clear yet rather opaque; good head, light khaki color, nice density. Big, rich aroma; toasted grain leaning towards charred; some date, leather, tobacco. Full flavored; big malt base sweetness; fairly balanced bourbon presence; dates and figs; a hint of brown sugar and wood. Heavy body; soft; a bit fizzy.
A pretty nice barrel aged quadruple that works best with its aroma and flavor.
Pouring temperature: 45 °F; canning info: 09/17/21
