Had on tap. Cloudy golden body with a finger of pearl white foam, lazy lacing. Smell and taste are clones in how they both start nicely with biscuit malt, honey and cereal, but then the macro like bloated sweetness kicks in with a lack of grains to really balance. Feel is crisp with higher carbonation, but the bloated edges and heavy malt take away from this finish.

Sophisticated. Simple. Elegant. A visit to Ahnapee Brewery will hook even the novice beer enthusiast. Part of any brewery discovery is the experience itself. Brewmaster Nick was engaging and informative. A delight to talk with, to learn from.
The Long Goodbye is lovely amber in color, with just the right body to enjoy in the sweltering heat of summer as well as in the endless subzero days of MN/WI winter.
I brought a growler home and now I'm faced with the dilemma of needing a refill while being 5+ hours away from the brewery.
The brewery a must visit. The Long Goodbye a must enjoy.
