Our Hellesbock aged on red wine staves. Acidity and tannin borrowed from the
oak balance the malty body. Smooth and dangerously delicious.

Had on tap. Pale golden body with a thin white ring. Smell has the oak and earthy vinous notes but subtly, toasty malts and grains with slight botanicals balance. Taste is much the same but now the oak steps up its game taking more control, botanicals are lost in the process. Feel is smooth, oaky for style, dark in complexion on the palate, and slight vinous. Nice on a wisconsin early summer day (so spring everywhere else)
