Spruce tips harvested from Colorado and Dr. Rudi hops from New Zealand make Rocky Green an IPA that is piney, fresh and resinous.

Appearance - The beer poured a dark copper color with a white head crowning the glass.
Smell - Bready moles and the spruce came through in the nose. Nothing was really overpowering.
Taste - Since I can no longer get a Spruce pilsner from Shorts, I have been on a continued quest to find a good Spruce beer. This beer had a pleasant level of spruce. The sourdough spruce was captured, though I would prefer it to be amped up a bit more. There was some sweetness and a nice dry backbone. The spruce lingered to a moderate degree.
Mouthfeel - The beer hand some clinging power, sticking to the roof of the mouth.
Overall - This beer was a good use of spruce.
